First of all, everyone has the lovely April Bell and my Grandfather to thank for this post. Since they both asked on the same day for more postings, I racked my brain for something to talk about. And this is what I came up with: snackfoods.
After school, unless I know there's something yummy sitting in the cupboard at home I usually go to a convenience store (7-11 actually, since there's one right by my train station on both ends). Because I'm hungry. Breakfast is early and small (for me)--usually just a single piece of toast, so I'm starving by lunchtime. And then hungry again when school gets out, doubly so if I have club activities. I've tried some new stuff while I've been here, but I've pretty much narrowed it down to some of my favorites, which I'm very happy to share with you here (and I'll try to bring some of them home too!)
1. Pure gummy:
They delude you into thinking it's "healthy" because they've added viamin C and collagen for your skin. It's a sour-ish gummy candy which I really like because the texture is awesome, it's not too sour, and a pack of these is less than 100 yen. Potent combination there. (And they come in a bunch of yummy flavors, like lime, lemon, grape etc.)
2. Pocky
There's some more stuff I have my eyes on that I want to try, but as of now those are definitely my top four! Hope I've got your taste-buds watering! Now I have to go do PreCalc, some Japanese booklet about Germany, and write my 1666 daily words for Nano! Ciao!

2. Pocky
I know we've got pocky in the US (heck you can find it at most Walgreens) but they have a lot more flavors over here, like spaghetti and maple pancakes. Plus there's just something nice about JAPANESE pocky.
3. Meiji almonds
Three words: almonds and chocolate. NOTHING is wrong with that statement. I love meiji chocolate, it's so creamy and delicious. But it really packs a caloric punch...one of those almond boxes is like 550 calories *gulp*
4. Caramel-milk pudding
This is quite obviously not the picture of the actual pudding here, but it's the same thing. It comes in a plastic container, which you upend on a plate, break a little plastic tab, and the pudding pops out caramel-side up. It's yummy, and I love pulling the tab (I compare it to opening a new can of tennis balls). There's some more stuff I have my eyes on that I want to try, but as of now those are definitely my top four! Dear claire, I think i failed my pre-calc test... i'll think i'll go die in a corner thank you and good bye
